The Sun, Moon & Stars Hiking Club - August

We will be taking a modified hike at Hidden Valley Preserve -Steep Rock.    SR Trail Map.pdf (steeprockassoc.org)    This will be a loop following the river to the bridge, crossing the bridge, continuing to follow the river and then back to the parking area.

Hiking provides many health benefits including increased motor skills, increased focus and attention, increased confidence, and it gets the heart takpumping for exercise while creatimg family bonding time.

We will meet in the parking lot at 10:00  and start our hike promptly at 10:15.    We are planning on one hour of hike time.    Please register both  parents and children for this free event.

7. Bug spray*
8. Water and plenty of snacks*
9. Headlamp
10. Sunglasses*
11. First aid kit*
12. Extra clothes
13. Wet Wipes (pack)
14. Proper footwear* (for an easy rated hike, sneakers are fine but more strenuous hikes I would recommend hiking boots)
